These dobby samples are inspired by my trip to Viterbo, Italy in July of 2019. Viterbo is an ancient city in the Lazio region of central Italy; it is situated at the foot of the Cimini Mountains, northwest of Rome. Viterbo's historic center is one of the best preserved medieval towns of central Italy. Viterbo’s medieval quarter, enclosed by 11th- to 13th-century walls and towers, remains practically unchanged, with its Romanesque arcades and 13th- and 14th-century houses and palaces. The city is quite small, so I was able to explore the entire city. I loved how rustic the building were and I loved how the houses had their own uniqueness to them. All the windows, sheds, and railings had their own decorative charm and I liked how a lot of the houses were decorated with plants.
